Prior to undertaking any clearing authorised under this Permit, the Permit Holder shall contribute documentary evidence to the CEO that funding of $25,000 has been transferred to the Department of Environment Regulation to purchase land for the purpose of establishing or maintaining vegetation.

Rationale:

The offset includes the acquisition of 22 hectares of native vegetation in an excellent (Keighery 1994) condition that comprises a high level of biological diversity and Carnaby's cockatoo feeding habitat. The offset will hold values the same as, or better than, that of the area being cleared, counterbalancing the significant residual impacts.
