Rationale: The offset will result in the rehabilitation of approximately 2.27 hectares of native vegetation in completely degraded to degraded (Keighery 1994) condition in close proximity to the area being cleared. The offset site is located within Bush Forever Site 193. The offset is considered to be relevant and proportionate to the significance of the environmental values being impacted, mitigating the residual impacts of the project. Note: This offset is a cumulative offset package of 2.27 ha for clearing permits CPS 978/1 and 980/1 for the City of Wanneroo. Clearing permit CPS 980/1 consisted of clearing 1.4 ha of road reserve vegetation, adjacent to Alexander Drive and is to the north of the CPS 978/1 area, for road widening purposes.
