Rationale:

The offset involves the acquisition of 2.34 hectares of native vegetation with similar values to that being cleared. The size of the offset was calculated based on a 1.5:1 ratio (in relation to impacts to Bush Forever site 397) which was determined to be the appropriate ratio in accordance with State Planning Policy 2.8 Bushland Policy for the Perth Metropolitan Region.

Given the above the offset is considered to be relevant and proportionate to the significance of the environmental values being impacted, mitigating the residual impacts of the project.
