- includes up to 1.6 hectares of the Banksia Woodlands of the Swan Coastal Plain threatened ecological community.

Offset conditions

Condition 7:
Prior to undertaking any clearing authorised under this Permit, the Permit Holder shall provide funding of $50,500 to the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation for the purpose of establishing or maintaining native vegetation.

Rationale:

This offset involves the provision of funds for the acquisition of 10.1 hectares of native vegetation that:
- comprises a high level of biological diversity;
- contains suitable Carnaby's cockatoo foraging habitat; and
- contains at least 8.5 hectares of vegetation representative of the "Banksia Woodlands of the Swan Coastal Plain" threatened ecological community.
 
The size of the offset was determined using the federal Department of the Environment and Energy's Offsets Assessment Guide.
 
Given the above, the offset is considered to be relevant and proportionate to the significance of the environmental values being impacted, counterbalancing all of the residual impacts of the project.
